1. Polymer Additives

  • Light Stabilizers – Clariant Light stabilizers, composed of UV-absorbers and radical scavengers (HALS), help to protect polymers against the photo-degradation process, by improving gloss retention, reducing color change, etc.

  • Antioxidants – Clariant is a leading supplier of process stabilizer for polyolefins. The range includes a phosphonite and long-term stabilizers, such as special-purpose phenolic primary stabilizers, sulfur-containing co-stabilizers and a metal deactivator.

  • Antistatic Agents – Clariant Antistatic agents help to prevent static charging, sparkling-over and dust attraction during the processing of polymers, as well as in the end article. Furthermore they provide special effects to surfaces of final products.

  • Process Stabilizers – A special range of Clariant additives to improve the process stability of polymers.

2. Evernox Anti-Oxidants

A wide range of individual and pre-blend anti-oxidants from Everspring Chemicals to prevent oxidative degradation of process materials with the result of minimizing loss in color, physical and mechanical properties. Products in the range are:

  • Evernox 10

  • Evernox 76

  • Everfos 168

  • Evernox B blends

3. Flame Retardants

Clariant’s non-halogenated flame retardants provide environmentally compatible protection for buildings, electric and electronic equipment as well as textiles and other materials used in aeroplanes, trains, busses and ships. Clariant’s portfolio is based on phosphorus chemistry, with production sites in Knapsack, Germany, Muttenz, Switzerland and Lufeng, China.

4. Phosphorus chemicals for various applications

We offer a range of phosphorus based chemicals for applications ranging from matches and pyrotechnics to cleaning and metal working.

5. Non-halogenated flame retardants (PINFA)

6. Waxes

  • Dyes – the range vary in fastness properties, has high tinctorial strength, good gloss and excellent chemical resistance.   • Hostaperm pigments – noted for very high fastness properties. Suitable grades are available for a variety of light and weathering fastness performance and migratory fastness.

  • Novoperm pigments – above average fastness properties. This range is suitable for paint and printing ink industries.

  • Permanent pigments – varies in fastness properties but characterized by high tinctorial strength. These pigments can be used for paint depending on performance requirements.

  • Hansa pigments – the yellow range are noted for very good light fastness. Reds are recommended for full shade applications. These are standard pigments for air drying paints.

  • Colanyl preparations – the 100 series is a range of both binder and ethoxylated alkyl phenols (APEO) free aqueous pigment preparations for the coloration of clear and white base paints. The 500 series is a range of both binder and solvent free aqueous pigment preparation, characterized by extremely low containing Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and APEO free.

  • Hostatint preparations – binder free multipurpose pigment preparations in paste form that are compatible with aqueous and non aqueous solvent containing paint systems. The preferred field of application is decorative paints based aqueous polymer dispersions of all kinds and long oil alkyd resin paints. (APEO) free aqueous pigment preparations for the coloration of clear and white base paints. The 500 series is a range of both binder and solvent free aqueous pigment preparation, characterized by extremely low containing Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and APEO free.
